Instructions
Preparation
In a large pot, heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
Add one diced onion and two minced garlic cloves to the pot. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Cooking
Add one pound of ground beef into the pot. Cook until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes.
Stir in a jar (about 24 oz) of tomato sauce, one teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste.
Break the spaghetti in half and add it to the pot. Pour in enough water to just cover the pasta (about 4 cups).
Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Turn off the heat and stir in one cup of shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted.
Serving
Serve warm and enjoy your Easy One Pot Spaghetti!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of water to restore moisture. Can add vegetables for variation.
